I have been intrigued by shamans for so long. I have even experienced a shamanic journey facilitated by someone who walks in both worlds. It was gentle and simple, and beyond powerful. It affected me profoundly and immediately. In a good way! 😉
And as I begin some of my own training and reading and exploring, I have also been enjoying taking myself on my own shamanic journeys.
Now, I am very careful here to not call myself a shaman. I am very careful to describe my experiences as “shamanic” – like a shaman – and not of a shaman.
I never met a shaman when I went to Siberia, however they are all a little that way inclined. When you stay with people who built their house with their bare hands – where everyone in the village built their houses with their bare hands, fetch their water from the river, and use particular sticks from particular trees to forecast the weather – you can see that these people are of the land. It really is fascinating, and so far removed from our western lifestyle that is so disconnected from the land.
So anywaysies, I have been taking myself on shamanic journeys. I have recovered pieces of my soul that were lost. I have rebuilt my foundation with mud and straw to create a fertile base upon which to grow. I have a spirit animal digging up crystals from my backyard for me. I have a doorway I walk through which makes my reality more vivid than ever before. I even have a carwash that cleanses me and blesses me with a rainbow. These experiences run on a parallel reality, but somehow still manage to cross over into normal reality.
I can see that this is all so closely related to the astral travel I have been practising over the past 8 years or so. Rather than it being of the more celestial cosmic realms, these journeys are of the Earthly realms. As an earth sign person, I am particularly resonating with this at the moment.
There is much wisdom to garner from all realms, and I continue to enjoy exploring for both fun and purpose (although, I realise that fun is purpose too).
I am sharing this, not wishing to teach, but to show that magic is real. Magic is here. Magic is within us. And as within, so without.
