Last week I went on a gorgeous walk to see my favourite lone tree on the cliff.
Every surfer/photographer/bushwalker in the area knows this tree. I sat down on the grass, surrounded by butterflies, and did some filming for my next video clip.
I needed to get 5 minutes worth of video done, and to make sure, I always double what I need so I can chop things up if I need. I don’t know how it happened, but instead of taking a few 2 minute videos here and there, I ended up taking several 5 minute videos. I was just so relaxed feeling the wind rush through me while sitting on the side of a cliff watching the water below. As I was lying down watching the waves crash on the rocks below, I checked the time and realised I needed to drag myself out of there if I wanted to pick my kid up from school on time.
Filled with gratitude that this gets to be my job, I made it back in time, and managed to put together the new video clip.
This is a cover of Californian Soil by London Grammar. Enjoy:
